At one time the public footpath ran along the front of Old House, but once the building had been made fit for human habitation again, the footpath was diverted to a less intrusive route.

We visited Nymans yesterday, 20 September 2018, and noticed the Old House across the valley.
It is good that there are records like this to give us some insight into what this place was, and is.
