Petanque club of Handcross play French team

Over the weekend of 29/30th June 2019 the Handcross Pétanque Club welcomed a club from Coquelles close to Calais in France, La Fanny Coquelloise, for what has become a regular annual friendly competition.
The Handcross members are wearing the turquoise strip.
Representing the Handcross club, Hazel Harrison, daughter of Basil Dick, Handcross’s oldest team member who died last year, accepted a special presentation from the president of the French club.
The Large Version shows the complete newspaper cutting.

The first picture shows a general view of the piste and the second shows both teams with their banners. The whitewash scoreline of 13-0 is graphically displayed as only the French know how!
