British Legion fete in Handcross (7 of 13)

Further to picture #2454, the Earl of Athlone and Princess Alice tried their luck at the hoopla stall at the Handcross British Legion fete..
Pictured is the Earl wearing a hat, and the Princess wearing fur even though it is July! Towards the right is Rev. Aylmer Peter Cameron, vicar of Slaugham.
The only other person I can recognise is me, standing in front of Rev. Cameron.
The Large Version shows a close up.

My mother decided to add the winners’ names in the baby show, particularly as the Ray family almost made a clean sweep of the prizes with the success of my brother and our cousin!
Up to 9 months - Carol Ray
9 to 18 months - Susan Arnold
18 months to 2½ yrs – Laurence Ray
