Veteran car run in Handcross High Street

The photograph shows a mini convoy of three veteran cars in the High Street of Handcross. The occasion is the annual historic run from London to Brighton which takes place on the first Sunday in November each year.
The Large Version shows a close up.
In 1956 there was a serious problem in the Handcross High Street with ill-fitting manhole covers, perhaps better described as inspection covers!
