Father Christmas visits Handcross!

Father Christmas, looking a lot like Roger Ray, arrived in the Handcross Parish Hall in 1954 accompanied by two highly-stylised reindeer!
Also sitting on the sleigh is a very happy 5-year-old Nigel Elliott.
The Large Version shows a close up.-

From deep in the archives, the real photograph above has now replaced the inferior one from the newspaper. Likewise the Large Version.
I had not noticed earlier that Father Christmas was holding a candle, no doubt to assist with the lighting!
By coincidence, Nigel and Father Christmas were neighbours in the High Street; the former in his father's radio and TV shop, and the latter in the newsagents.
