Don Sinclair R.I.P.

It has been announced that Don Sinclair passed away on 12th January 2017 at his home in Burgess Hill.
Don was the much-respected Head Teacher of Warninglid Primary School and very popular with pupils, parents, and fellow teachers alike. He retired from the position in 1989, aged 58.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, who also worked at the school, and their children, Robert, Julia, Paul and David.

I met Donald and Yvonne when they visited my friend, Sheila, their sister-in-law, who was living close to me in south-west France.
Donald also taught my sister's children at Warninglid School.
He was the kind of dedicated Head Teacher all schools need.

In the February 2017 edition of the Warninglid Resident’s Society newsletter Pam Cork had written a glowing and moving tribute to Don.

In 1985 the Mid Sussex Times published a letter from Lady Inman praising Warninglid School and its fine headmaster.
Her words from the past speak volumes of Don's inspirational leadership.
